The customer is a national organization that represents Canada’s more than 1,200 regulated egg farmers. It has been managing the supply and promotion of eggs and developing standards for egg farming in the country for over 50 years.

The advent of COVID-19 and its aftermath exacerbated the supply/demand uncertainties to a degree that the customer’s reporting mechanisms could no longer allow it to monitor and analyze the market shifts reliably across regions and segments. Plus, the customer also needed to assess the impact of COVID-19 on its operations and supply chain and respond quickly to any changes or risks.
Pixel Perfect Solution
USEReady helped the customer leverage the power of Tableau and Pixel Perfect to create and distribute on-demand reports that supported corporate management and risk assessment related decision making.
The solution broadly consisted of three types of reports:
A Single Enterprise Analytics PDF report that summarized data from 7 enterprise dashboards on Egg Production/Consumption and allowed users to filter and drill down by various dimensions. This report was intended for top executives who needed a high-level overview of the egg industry performance and outlook.
A COVID Cases PDF report that tracked and compared the number and rate of COVID-19 cases across different geographies and showed the correlation with egg consumption. This report was designed for managers who needed to monitor the impact of COVID-19 on their markets and customers, and to adjust their strategies accordingly.
A Daily Risk report which monitored and provided recommendations for mitigating the risk of COVID-19 transmission in different regions, based on the Rt value, which measures how contagious an infectious disease is. This report was aimed at farmers who needed to be aware of the potential threats or opportunities arising from COVID-19 in their regions, and to take appropriate actions to ensure their safety and profitability.
Pixel Perfect for Tableau was used to automate the generation and delivery of these reports, ensuring they can be customized and scheduled according to the user’s preferences. The tool also ensured that the reports were formatted consistently and professionally, with high-quality charts, tables, images, logos, headers, footers, and pagination.
